I’m really pleased you‘ve dropped in to have a look, to see who I am and to see if I can be part of your special day by being a Celebrant for your Wedding ceremony.
I can’t deny, I absolutely love weddings!
My special day was the best day of my life and I think about it daily even still! We had very carefully selected our suppliers (all of which I will be happy to recommend!) so that not only were our guests ‘invited’ but also those that we had entrusted to help make our day special.
Remember, this is a day that you have potentially thought about for a long time and will invest a lot of time and money into getting right.
I am so pleased you are here, so please drop me an absolutely no obligation message and let’s get started.
So in 2021 I proposed to the most wonderful woman. We spent the next 14 months loving every second of the planning of our wedding. Every second!
We did some wedding fairs and managed to find the most amazing photographers, and an awesome band. We had originally planned on a DJ but after meeting and speaking to the band we were sold on having live music.
Both the photographers and band were very popular and so we needed to secure a date. We contacted the Registrars (by email) to secure the date, so we could book our suppliers….. and got an automated response telling us that they won’t deal with any requests until 12 months before the date. What do we do about our suppliers??!!
We took the gamble to book them, or risk them getting filled up.
We were so happy and the planning continued with the dress and suits to begin.
2 months later we received a call from the Registrars to tell us that the time on our planned date was no longer available. Our photographers and band had now taken bookings for the weekend either side of our date.
The end result? We ended up having our Wedding at 11:30am. Let me tell you, it’s tight getting the bride and bridesmaids ready and to the venue for that time!
The reason I tell you our story is because if we’d known about the flexibility offered by having a Celebrant conduct the ceremony on the day, it would have been a) so much less stressful, and b) so much more personal than having a stranger stand there and conduct a generic ceremony. We didn’t get to meet the registrar before the day.
So when people say they wouldn’t change a thing…… we would! We would have 100% found ourselves a Celebrant!
